Nairobi, Kenya, April 26 – 27, 2005
 The workshop was organized by the NBCBN-RE Secretariat in collaboration with university of Nairobi in Kenya April 2005, under the title of "Third Regional Workshop on Capacity Building in Flood Management Applications in River Engineering" during the period from 26 to 27 April 2005. The workshop was convened at Nairobi University, Kenya.
The countries participated in this workshop are the members in the Flood Management Research Cluster; Egypt, Uganda , Tanzania ,Rwanda, Netherlands and Kenya ( Host country). The country coordinator of the hosting country is Dr. Patta Odira, Nairobi University and the scientific advisors Prof. Dr. Bart Schultz, UNESCO-IHE
