Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 9-10 June 2005
 The workshop was organized by the NBCBN-RE Secretariat in collaboration with the Addis Ababa University (the Hosting Institution of the Research Cluster) in Addis Ababa, June 2005, under the title of "Third Regional Workshop on Capacity Building in River Structure Applications in River Engineering" during the period from 9 to 10 June 2005. The workshop was convened at at Ghion Hotel, Addis Ababa , Ethiopia
The countries participated in this cluster are D.R Congo, Uganda , Egypt and Sudan , Ethiopia (host country). The Country Coordinator of the hosting country is Dr. Bayou Chane, Addis Ababa University , and the Scientific Advisor Prof. Petru Borieu, UNESCO-IHE.
