Kinshasa, 18-19 October, 2007
The Nile Basin capacity Building Network officially organized the launch event of the D.R. Congo node and in country network in Kinshasa, in the period from 18-19 October, 2007. The Node is hosted by the Centre de Recherches Géologiques et Minières, Kinshasa. The opening ceremony of the workshop was honoured by the attendance of his Excellency the Minister of Environment, Land and Forestry. the Mayor of Kinshasa, and His Excellency the Ambassador of Egypt to D. R. C., in addition to the attendance of high officials from the Ministry of Research. The event took place for two days where professionals from the different water related organisation in the country met to discuss the development of the NBCBN D. R. C. in- country network, the local research activities, the needed capacity building actions and how to link D.R. C. with the other nodes and clusters of NBCBN. In the closing ceremony of the workshop the participants presented their outputs and findings and their future action plans, the closing ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Minister of High Education of D.R.C.
