Butare, Rwanda, 12-13 June 2006
The launch event of Rwanda node, which is the seventh official node of NBCBN was held in Butare, Rwanda in the period from 12-13 June, 2006. The main aim of the launch event was to establish officially the NBCBN node and the in-country network in Rwanda.
The official signature of the Memorandum of Agreement between UNESCO-IHE, HRI representing NBCBN Management team, and Institute De Recherche Scientifique Et Technologique took place during the closing ceremony of the launch event. The closing ceremony was honored by the attendance of The representative of his Excellency Minister of State in charge of Water and Natural Resources of Rwanda, his Excellency the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Rwanda, His Excellency the Ambassador of Egypt to Rwanda and the honourable representative from the Parliament of Rwanda.
