The UNESCO-Chair office in collaboration with NBCBN-RE, convened a three –days workshop at Khartoum, Sudan between 7th and 9th October 2007.Since NBCBN-RE projects will focus on joint research activities of different modalities ,this workshop intended to concretize proposals for joint research activities.
As result of the workshop the following are the different developed research proposals:
Cluster Research Proposal:
- Nile Basin Reservoir Sedimentation Prediction and Mitigation
- Nile River Protection against Bank Erosion
Integrated Research Proposal:
- Water Harvesting and Its Impacts on Floods, Environment and Socio-Economics
Local Action Research proposal:
- Assessment of Water Supply Sources and Systems of Potable Water in Khartoum Metropolitan in Relation to Liquid Disposal
Multidisciplinary Research Proposal:
