The local action research for D.R. Congo Node generally focuses on the impact of climate change on hydropower efficiency of INGA dam. The research proposal is titled A Survey of Prefeasibility Study for the Assessment of the Impact of Climate Change on the INGA Hydroelectric Dam in D.R. Congo.

A training workshop was organized by NBCBN-SEC in cooperation with CRGM the hosting institute of D.R. Congo Node for the local action team. The aim was to support the local action research group in the field of GIS and Remote Sensing applications for the water resources management. Another important objective was to assist the local action research team to develop and adjust their research proposal through discussions with their scientific advisor and NBCBN-SEC management team.
